Why a Northern Irish voice
Few UK accents carry as much goodwill. Surveys of UK listeners regularly place Northern Irish among the most trusted and most likeable accents in these islands, and advertisers have known it for years – it reads as honest, warm and unpretentious without ever sounding soft. It also travels: clear to audiences across the UK, Ireland and the US.
Cast well, a Northern Irish voice earns attention without demanding it – which is exactly what trust-led brands need.
Trust & warmth
The natural register for finance, healthcare, charity and public-sector work – anywhere a brand needs to be believed. Direct enough to carry authority, warm enough never to lecture.
Cuts through
Distinctive against the wall of RP and Estuary reads on UK airwaves, while staying completely clear to a national audience. Different without being difficult.
A cultural moment
Derry Girls put the accent at the centre of British and Irish comedy, and Northern Ireland’s screen boom keeps it on the world’s streaming services. The accent has never had more currency.
The full spectrum
Northern Irish is not one accent. A Belfast read and a Derry read are different instruments, and a local audience hears the difference immediately. Tell us the audience and we will cast the right one.
Belfast
Urban, quick and direct, with real energy. The default for commercial work aimed at Northern Ireland’s biggest market, and strong for challenger brands UK-wide.
Derry
Softer and more musical than Belfast, and now instantly recognisable far beyond Northern Ireland. Warm, characterful, great for comedy and conversational reads.
Mid-Ulster & rural
The gentler registers of Tyrone, Fermanagh and Armagh. Grounded and unhurried – suits heritage, agriculture, tourism and community-facing content.
North coast & Antrim
Closer to the Ulster Scots influence, with cadences a Scottish ear will half-recognise. Distinct texture for regional and character work.
Neutral Northern Irish
The broadcast register – unmistakably Northern Irish but easy on any UK or Irish ear. The safe choice for national campaigns, corporate film and e-learning.
Ulster Scots
A recognised minority language tradition with its own vocabulary and rhythm. Specialist casting for heritage, arts and public-sector projects that call for it.

Dubbing & ADR
We cast and record Northern Irish dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.
Northern Ireland’s screen industry has grown into one of the busiest production bases in these islands, and authentic local voices matter more than ever – an audience hears a mismatched accent immediately, so we match native Northern Irish voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

One casting decision
A Belfast voice and a Dublin voice are as different as Glasgow and Manchester, and audiences on both sides of the border hear the difference in a single sentence. A campaign for Northern Ireland wants a Northern Irish voice; a campaign for the Republic wants an Irish voice. Cast the wrong one and the audience notices before the first line is finished.
If your campaign covers the whole island, the usual answer is two reads rather than one compromise – and we can cast both from a single brief.
