COCKNEY AND EAST LONDON VOICE TALENT

Cockney Voiceover Artists

Easy Tiger Voices represents authentic Cockney, Estuary and East London voices, cast by a London agency that actually knows the difference between Bow Bells and Bromley. No mockney, no caricature, no rhyming-slang clichés – genuine East End delivery for ads, drama, games and audiobooks.

Our Cockney and East London voice artists

Every voice on our Cockney roster is from London or the wider East End and Essex belt. Each profile has demos in commercial, narrative and character contexts so you can hear the range before you brief.

Why brands need real East London voices

Cockney is one of the most globally recognised British accents and one of the most misunderstood. The traditional Cockney of Bow, Stepney and Whitechapel – dropped Hs, glottal stops, full diphthong shifts – has been blending for decades with Estuary English, the broader London sound that now stretches from the East End out into Essex and Kent.

Most modern East London voiceover work sits somewhere on that spectrum, and casting the right point on the scale is the difference between a believable ad and a parody that makes Londoners cringe. We represent voices who can place themselves precisely on that line, from old-school market-trader Cockney through to contemporary multicultural London English, and deliver each version without slipping into caricature.

Cockney, Estuary, MLE - knowing which you need

Three distinct sounds get casually labelled “Cockney” by people outside London, and getting the wrong one ruins a script. Each works for different briefs, and most strong London voices can shift along the scale rather than locking into one register.

Traditional Cockney

Bow, Stepney, Whitechapel – dropped Hs, glottal stops, full diphthong shifts. Increasingly rare as a native accent and now sits mostly with voices over fifty, carrying connotations of the old East End, market culture and post-war London.

Works for: heritage brands, period drama, true crime, pie-and-mash storytelling, character work.

Estuary English

The broader, more contemporary London sound: softer than Cockney, still with glottal stops and TH-fronting, but without the full diphthong shift. The default voice of modern London advertising.

Works for: national lager and FMCG, telecoms, banking, mainstream TV ads, branded content.

Multicultural London English (MLE)

The youngest layer – the sound of inner London under thirty, blending Caribbean, West African and South Asian influence with the older London base. Increasingly the right call for youth-targeted campaigns.

Works for: streetwear, grime-adjacent campaigns, gaming, TikTok and youth-targeted brand work.

Suburban and Greater London

The lighter, softer London edge from the suburbs, Essex and Kent. Carries the rhythm of the capital without strong markers, useful when the brief reads as “London” but cannot be too localised.

Works for: national brands with a London base, lifestyle and property, soft-sell retail.

Dubbing & ADR

Cockney dubbing and ADR

We cast and record Cockney dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.

Casting matters as much in a dub as in an original read. An audience hears a mismatched voice immediately, so we match native Cockney voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

See the full service on our dubbing and ADR page, or read our guide to the difference between dubbing and voice over.

Cockney voiceover - FAQs

Traditional Cockney is the older East End accent with dropped Hs, full glottal stops and pronounced diphthong shifts. Estuary is a broader, softer London accent that has spread out through Essex and Kent. Most contemporary London voiceover work is Estuary rather than full Cockney.

Yes. Many of our East London artists are bidialectal and can deliver the same script in broad Cockney, contemporary Estuary or near-neutral London. We mark range clearly on each profile so you can hear it before booking.

We do. MLE is the modern inner-London sound and increasingly the right choice for youth-targeted campaigns, gaming and streetwear briefs. Ask us and we will pull a focused shortlist.

Fees depend on usage rather than accent: web video is cheaper than national TV, which is cheaper than worldwide campaigns. Send the script, media plan and term and we will quote within the working day.

Yes. We run sessions over Source-Connect, Cleanfeed, Zoom or Teams every week with US, European and Asian clients directing live into our London booth.

Standard turnaround is twenty-four hours from script approval. For urgent ads or news-led content we regularly turn jobs in two to three hours.
