Our roster

Our French Voice Artists

A selection of our native French voices. Send us your brief and we’ll recommend the right voice for your project.

Why native matters

Native French voices, every time

Every French voice on our roster is a native speaker. French is a language where accent and rhythm vary significantly by region. Parisian, Southern French, Belgian and Canadian French all sound distinct to native ears. We match the right regional voice to your target market so your content feels local, not dubbed.

Why a French voice

Why a French voice is trusted

Few accents carry the instant associations a French voice does. To international audiences, French signals elegance, craftsmanship and quality, which is why it is the default for luxury, beauty, fashion, gastronomy and premium automotive brands. It is also a language of diplomacy and international institutions, lending real authority to corporate and institutional content. Cast well, a French voice makes a brand sound considered, refined and trustworthy, often before a single word is understood.

Luxury & lifestyle

The French voice is shorthand for elegance and craftsmanship. The natural fit for beauty, fashion, fragrance, fine food, hospitality and premium automotive, where tone signals quality before the message lands.

Authority & institutions

French is an official language of the UN, EU, IOC and many global bodies. That institutional weight lends credibility to corporate, diplomatic, NGO and cultural content aimed at international audiences.

Emotion & storytelling

French carries a warmth and intimacy that suits narrative work, documentary, brand films and anything that needs to feel human rather than corporate. It draws an audience in.

The full spectrum

French accents & regions we cast

French is not one accent. The right regional voice signals respect for the market and makes your content feel local rather than dubbed. France French and Québécois are not interchangeable, and a Parisian read can sound out of place in Marseille, Brussels or Dakar. Here is how we think about casting it.

Parisian / Standard

Île-de-France French, the broadcast and advertising default. Neutral, polished and understood across the entire Francophone world. The safe choice for national campaigns and international reach.

Southern / Méridional

Marseille, Provence and the South. Warmer and more melodic, with open vowels and a sunnier rhythm. Built for food, lifestyle, tourism and regional brands that want to feel rooted in the Midi.

Belgian French

Wallonia and Brussels. Softer intonation and its own vocabulary (septante, nonante). Essential for Belgian-market advertising and Benelux campaigns where a Parisian voice would jar.

Swiss Romand

Geneva, Lausanne and French-speaking Switzerland. Measured, precise and understated. The expected register for finance, pharmaceutical, watchmaking and luxury content.

Québécois / French Canadian

Distinct phonology and vocabulary, not a substitute for France French. French Canadian voice over is required for Canadian francophone markets and bilingual campaigns, where local audiences and regulators expect a genuine Québécois voice.

African French

West and Central African French, including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon. A large and fast-growing Francophone audience, in demand for NGO, development, telecoms and pan-African brand work.

FAQs

French voiceover, FAQs

Parisian (Standard) French is the broadcast and advertising default, neutral, polished and understood across the whole Francophone world. Québécois has its own phonology and vocabulary and is not a substitute for France French. For a campaign aimed at France, Belgium, Switzerland or international audiences, cast Parisian French. For Canadian francophone markets, cast a genuine Québécois voice, because Canadian audiences and regulators expect local delivery. Tell us the target market and we will shortlist accordingly.

For most corporate and broadcast work, yes. A neutral Parisian French voice is understood and accepted across all three markets. For advertising aimed specifically at Belgium or Switzerland, a native Belgian or Swiss Romand voice signals respect for the market and performs better in recall testing. It is a budget-versus-performance call, and we will advise based on your audience.

Yes. Several of our French voices are native speakers based in the UK with broadcast-quality home studios, which gives us London-hours project management and fast turnaround for UK production teams. Others are based in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada. We match the voice to the brief and the production workflow, not the other way round.

Parisian (Île-de-France) French is the neutral broadcast standard. Southern, or Méridional, French from Marseille, Provence and the Midi is warmer and more melodic, with open vowels and a distinctive rhythm. Parisian is the safe choice for national and international work. Southern French is ideal when a brand wants to feel regional, sunny and rooted in the South, often for food, tourism and lifestyle.

Where a script calls for French-accented English, we cast a native French speaker who reads English naturally. They can deliver anywhere from a light French colour to a fuller accent, matched to your brief. Faked French accents performed by non-native English speakers rarely pass a native ear, so for anything customer-facing we cast the real thing.

Same-day for most briefs. Send us the script, tone notes and target market in the morning and we will typically have two or three voice options back by end of day. Final recorded deliveries are usually within 24 to 48 hours once the voice is selected, faster if the deadline is urgent.

Yes. We cast West and Central African French (including Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon) for NGO, development, telecoms and pan-African brand work, and Québécois French for Canadian francophone and bilingual campaigns. Tell us the audience and we will shortlist native voices for the market.

Yes. Send us the script and we will come back with a shortlist of custom-voiced auditions, usually three voices, recorded against your actual script, within 24 hours. No charge, no commitment.

French dubbing and ADR session at Easy Tiger Voices

Dubbing & ADR

French dubbing and ADR

We cast and record French dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.

Casting matters as much in a dub as in an original read. An audience hears a mismatched voice immediately, so we match native French voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

See the full service on our dubbing and ADR page, or read our guide to the difference between dubbing and voice over.
