A selection of our native German voices. Send us your brief and we’ll recommend the right voice for your project.

Why native matters

Native German voices, every time

German audiences are exacting. Pronunciation, rhythm and register all carry weight, and native delivery is immediately distinguishable from second-language performance. Every German voice on our roster is a native speaker, whether you need crisp Hochdeutsch for a national campaign, Austrian warmth for a regional spot, or Swiss German precision for financial or pharmaceutical content.

FAQs

German voiceover, FAQs

Hochdeutsch is the broadcast standard used across all three DACH countries for news, corporate content and pan-regional advertising. Austrian German is softer, with distinct vocabulary and cadence, and is expected when a campaign is specifically targeting Austria. Swiss German is the most different of the three, covering a family of dialects used for Swiss-specific character and local brand work, though Swiss-accented Hochdeutsch is the norm for mainstream Swiss broadcast. For pan-DACH work, cast Hochdeutsch. For single-country campaigns, cast the matching variant where budget allows. We can shortlist either way, just tell us the target market.

For broadcast and corporate work, yes. Austrian and Swiss audiences are used to hearing Hochdeutsch and understand it without issue. For campaigns specifically targeting Austria or Switzerland, casting a native Austrian or Swiss voice signals respect for the market and performs better in recall testing. It is a budget-versus-performance call. Tell us the priority and we will advise.

Yes. Several of our German voices are native speakers based in the UK with broadcast-quality home studios, which gives us London-hours project management and fast turnaround for UK production teams. Others are based in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We match the voice to the brief and the production workflow, not the other way round.

DACH is the standard industry shorthand for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the three main German-speaking markets. Whether to cast separately depends on the campaign. Pan-DACH work usually uses Standard German. Country-specific advertising benefits from the matching regional variant. Premium brands often record separate versions for each market. We can scope any of these options.

We do not recommend that route. Faked German accents performed by non-native speakers rarely pass native ear, and for DACH audiences the mismatch is audible and off-putting. Where a script calls for German-accented English, we cast a native German speaker who reads English naturally. They can deliver anywhere from a light German colour to a full accent, matched to your brief.

Same-day for most briefs. Send us the script, tone notes and target variant in the morning and we will typically have two or three voice options back by end of day. Final recorded deliveries are usually within 24 to 48 hours once the voice is selected, faster if the deadline is urgent.

Yes. Automotive, pharma, engineering, financial and technical narration each have their own register and vocabulary expectations, and we represent German voices who have worked in these categories for brands of all sizes. If the brief is specialist, tell us the sector and we will shortlist voices with matching credits.

Yes. Send us the script and we will come back with a shortlist of custom-voiced auditions, usually three voices, recorded against your actual script, within 24 hours. No charge, no commitment.

German dubbing and ADR session at Easy Tiger Voices

Dubbing & ADR

German dubbing and ADR

We cast and record German dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.

Casting matters as much in a dub as in an original read. An audience hears a mismatched voice immediately, so we match native German voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

See the full service on our dubbing and ADR page, or read our guide to the difference between dubbing and voice over.
