Why brands need native Greek voices

Greek is the language of one country with one broadcast standard, but a deceptively varied media output. Greek television, advertising and a fast-growing dubbing industry have built a deep bench of trained voiceover talent that handles everything from luxury hospitality commercials to high-volume e-learning rollouts.

Easy Tiger Voices runs a curated roster of male and female native Greek voices, ages 20s to 60s, with credits across ERT, Mega, ANT1, Skai and the major global streamers. As a London-based agency, UK and European clients get one English-speaking producer running the entire job – casting, briefing, recording, edit and delivery, with native Greek quality control on every session.

Greek - Athens standard and Cypriot variant

Modern Greek is built around a single broadcast standard – Standard Modern Greek, sometimes called Athens Greek – and that is the read that works for almost all commercial, corporate and broadcast work. The language went through a long sociolinguistic battle between formal Katharevousa and demotic Greek through the twentieth century, and the demotic standard finally won out in the 1970s. What you hear on ERT and in Athens advertising today is essentially the same register.

Standard Modern Greek

The Athens-based broadcast standard, used by ERT, national news, premium advertising and most corporate. Neutral, contemporary, understood across the whole country.

Works for: national advertising, broadcast, corporate, e-learning, factual narration.

Cypriot Greek

The variety spoken in the Republic of Cyprus, with its own distinct phonology and vocabulary. Cast with native Cypriot talent rather than asking mainland Greek artists to approximate.

Works for: Cyprus-targeted advertising, corporate, tourism, broadcast.

Younger urban Greek

A faster, more contemporary delivery common among younger Athens speakers. Suited to tech, fintech, lifestyle and youth-skewing brand work.

Works for: tech, fintech, lifestyle, youth brands, social and digital content.

Classical broadcast

Measured, lower-pitched, the register favoured by shipping, banking, factual documentary and premium hospitality.

Works for: shipping, banking, factual documentary, premium hospitality.

Dubbing & ADR

Greek dubbing and ADR

We cast and record Greek dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.

Casting matters as much in a dub as in an original read. An audience hears a mismatched voice immediately, so we match native Greek voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

See the full service on our dubbing and ADR page, or read our guide to the difference between dubbing and voice over.

Yes. Cypriot Greek is its own variant and we cast it with native Cypriot talent for campaigns targeting the Republic of Cyprus, rather than asking mainland Greek artists to approximate.

Yes. We work with vetted Greek translators who specialise in marketing, e-learning and broadcast copy, and we localise for spoken delivery rather than literal translation. Translation is quoted separately.

Standard turnaround is 24 to 48 hours from script approval. Same-day delivery is available for short broadcast spots where the script is locked.

Yes. Our London producer runs the session in English with the talent, and we have a native Greek quality-checker confirming pronunciation and pacing on every take before delivery.

Rates depend on script length, usage and talent profile. Broadcast usage with media buyout is priced on territory and term. We quote in writing before any work starts.
