Our roster

Our American English voice artists

A selection of our native American English voices for hire. Send us your brief and we’ll recommend the right voice talent for your project, usually within hours.

Why American voices

The default voice of global media

American English carries instant recognition and commercial weight. For UK brands expanding into North America, or any campaign aimed at a global English-speaking audience, an authentic American voice removes friction and builds trust. It’s the default for international e-learning, software UI narration, podcast advertising and trailers, and the expected register for US-facing investor and corporate content.

We cast native US talent and US-passport voices based in the UK, with project management out of London and broadcast-quality home studios on both sides of the Atlantic. You get genuine American English voice artists with the convenience of a London agency and UK-hours support.

American English vs British English

When to choose an American English voice over British RP

The accent you pick changes how the audience reads the message. American English voiceover sounds modern, direct and commercially neutral to North American and global audiences. British RP sounds premium and authoritative to UK ears but can feel distant or formal to US listeners. If your campaign targets the United States, or a global English-speaking market, an American English voice almost always tests better. For UK-only work, RP or a regional UK voice usually wins. We’ll tell you honestly which fits your brief, and we cast both.

The full spectrum

American accents we cast

American English isn’t one accent, it’s a spectrum. Each regional voice reads differently to your audience: friendly or authoritative, urban or homespun, neutral for global reach or rooted in a specific place. Here’s how we cast it.

General American

The broadcast default. Network news, international commercials, corporate video, e-learning. No regional color, fully understood by North American audiences and the rest of the English-speaking world. The safe pair of hands for a global campaign.

New York

Direct, street-smart, commercial. The New York voice has edge, useful when you want a spot to land fast and sound like someone who knows what they’re talking about. Ranges from polished Manhattan to full Brooklyn or Bronx character.

Southern

Warm, unhurried, narrative. Built for storytelling: documentary, lifestyle brands, bourbon, barbecue, country music. Covers polished Atlanta to deep Nashville, Texas to the Louisiana coast. Pairs well with anything that wants to feel honest and grounded.

California / West Coast

Bright, relaxed, modern. Sounds young without sounding young. The default for tech, wellness, lifestyle apps, Gen-Z and millennial-facing campaigns. Neutral enough for international use but carries California optimism.

Midwestern

Flat, trustworthy, middle-of-the-road in the best way. What Americans hear when a brand wants to sound like “us”. Strong on sincerity, light on pretension. Built for insurance, healthcare, pharma and any category that needs to feel familiar and safe.

Boston & New England

Distinctive working-class warmth with an East Coast edge. Character-rich and immediately placeable, useful when the script calls for authenticity rooted in a specific city or region.

Latino & Hispanic American

Native American English with a Latino or Hispanic American identity, from fully neutral to audibly bilingual. Essential for US multicultural campaigns and brands targeting Spanish-speaking audiences across the Americas. Can also deliver in US Spanish.

African American

From polished General American with heritage warmth through to fully conversational AAVE. We cast African American voices for commercials, narration, audiobooks and culturally authentic advertising, where the right voice is the one who has genuinely lived the story.

Not sure which accent fits your brief? Send us the script and target audience and we’ll come back with two or three voice options, plus a recommendation and a reason.

FAQs

American English voiceover, FAQs

Send us your script, tone reference and deadline and we’ll come back with a shortlist of native American English voices, clear rates and availability, usually within hours. We’re a London-based agency, so you get authentic US voice talent with UK-hours project management and one point of contact from brief to final file.

General American is the US broadcast default: neutral, modern, trusted by North American audiences. British RP sounds premium and authoritative to UK ears but can feel distant, old-fashioned or even cold to American listeners. If your campaign is targeting the US or a global English-speaking market, General American almost always outperforms RP in testing. For UK-only campaigns, RP or a regional UK voice usually wins.

Rates depend on the voice, the media, the usage term and the script length, the standard factors behind any professional voiceover fee. Tell us how the audio will be used and we’ll quote a clear, all-in figure per project with no hidden buyouts. Custom auditions against your script are free.

Some can, and we’ll tell you honestly which. A handful of our UK-based voices are genuinely accent-proficient and can hold a General American or New York delivery for a full session without drifting. For anything longer than a 30-second spot, or for buyer audiences who’ll notice slips, we cast native American voices every time. If you’re on a tight budget and need a short, tightly directed read, we’ll tell you which of our Brits can pull it off.

For global reach, go General American every time. It’s the accent US networks use, the one Hollywood defaults to, and the one international audiences are most used to hearing. Save the regional accents – Southern, New York, Boston – for when the creative calls for a specific identity or place. They add character but narrow the audience.

Same-day for most briefs. Send us the script, tone notes and target accent in the morning and we’ll typically have two or three voice options back by end of day. Final recorded deliveries are usually within 24 to 48 hours once the voice is selected, faster if it’s urgent.

Yes. We cast Latino and Hispanic American voices for bilingual and multicultural work, and African American voices across advertising, audiobooks, documentary and culturally specific campaigns. Tell us the audience and register you need and we’ll shortlist.

Both. Many of our American voices are UK-based and record from broadcast-quality home studios here, useful when you want London-hours project management and fast turnaround. Others are based across the US, from LA and Seattle to Nashville, NYC and Boston. We match the voice to the brief, not the other way around.

Absolutely. Send us the script and we’ll come back with a shortlist of custom-voiced auditions, usually three voices, recorded against your actual script, within 24 hours. No charge, no commitment.

Where it’s legal and ethical, yes. Send us a reference, not to copy, but to describe the tone, age and delivery you want, and we’ll match you to voices in our roster who can hit that register. We don’t do celebrity impersonation, but we can find you a voice with the same weight, warmth or edge.

American English dubbing and ADR session at Easy Tiger Voices

Dubbing & ADR

American English dubbing and ADR

We cast and record American English dubbing across the sync levels a project needs, from rough-sync and time-sync through to full lip-sync, plus ADR and voice replacement, for film, TV, streaming, games and corporate content.

Casting matters as much in a dub as in an original read. An audience hears a mismatched voice immediately, so we match native American English voices to the on-screen performance, not just the script.

See the full service on our dubbing and ADR page, or read our guide to the difference between dubbing and voice over.
