Why this voice
Latvian is spoken by around 1.5 million people, primarily in Latvia. It is one of two surviving Baltic languages (with Lithuanian), and not related to Russian, Estonian or any of its neighbours. For Latvia-market campaigns, native Latvian is essential – Latvian audiences notice the difference between native casting and approximation immediately.
Riga is the largest city in the Baltics and a regional banking, logistics and broadcast hub. Latvian-language content is the standard for Latvia-market advertising, banking customer communications and public-facing campaigns.

No. Latvian is a Baltic language with no close living relatives except Lithuanian. It is not Slavic, not Uralic, and cannot be substituted with Russian or Estonian voice talent.

Both are Baltic languages and share some vocabulary, but they are not mutually intelligible. Cast Latvian specifically for Latvian audiences and Lithuanian for Lithuanian audiences.
