Why this voice
Thai is spoken by about 70 million people, mostly in Thailand, and is the working language of Southeast Asia’s largest inbound tourism market. For UK, European and global brands targeting Thai consumers, native Thai is the only authentic option – the tonal system and writing alone rule out anything else.
Thailand is also a major broadcast market, with strong streaming, animation and gaming localisation work, and Bangkok is the regional hub for ASEAN advertising production. Standard Central Thai handles almost all commercial casting needs.

Thai casting is largely about register – the regional dialects exist but commercial work is overwhelmingly Standard Central Thai.
Standard Central Thai
The Bangkok broadcast standard. Used for almost all advertising, corporate, e-learning and tourism content. Polished, modern, audience-recognised.
Northern Thai
Lanna – the dialect of Chiang Mai and the north. Used occasionally for character work and tourism content specifically rooted in northern Thailand.
Royal / Formal Thai
Higher register Thai used for ceremonial, government, banking and prestige brand work. Distinct vocabulary and intonation.
Modern / Youth Thai
Conversational, current, fast-paced. The right register for lifestyle, tech, gaming and Gen-Z brand work in Bangkok.
